This Privacy Policy explains how Flag Quest ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. Flag Quest is a flags and geography quiz game developed by Ahmed M. Abed.
1. Information We Collect
Flag Quest does not require an account, and we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our own servers. The App has no backend — it works entirely on your device.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only (never sent anywhere):
- Your selected language and light/dark theme preference
- Your quiz progress and scores, so you can resume a game later
- Your gameplay settings (e.g. whether to show country details after answers)
This local data can be cleared at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it from your device.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Flag Quest displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To serve ads, Google AdMob and its partners may automatically collect certain information from your device, which can include:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g. Google Advertising ID / IDFA)
- IP address and approximate location
- Device information (model, OS version, language)
- App usage and interaction data related to ads

3. Your Choices
You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time from your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads
4. Children's Privacy
Flag Quest is a general-audience educational quiz app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
5. Data Security
Since Flag Quest does not operate its own servers or collect personal data, there is no personal data held by us to secure. Data handled by third-party services (such as Google AdMob) is protected according to that provider's own security practices.
6. Third-Party Services
Aside from Google AdMob, Flag Quest does not integrate any other third-party analytics, tracking, or data-collection services.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
