This Privacy Policy explains how Word of the Day ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the app. Word of the Day is developed and published by Ahmed M. Abed.

Word of the Day does not require an account, sign-up, or login, and does not operate its own servers or backend. All of your gameplay data — including your streaks, scores, hint usage, and settings — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not require you to create an account to play.

2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services

The App uses a small number of trusted third-party services to operate advertising and in-app purchases. These providers may collect information as described below, independently of us:

Google AdMob (advertising)

• The App displays banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob.
• AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID / IDFA), general device information, approximate location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.
• On iOS, the App requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before any tracking-related data is used for personalized advertising; you may decline this at any time in Settings.
• On Android, you can opt out of personalized ads or reset your advertising ID in your device's Google Settings.

App Store / Google Play Billing (in-app purchases)

• The App offers a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play Billing.
• We never see or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.). We only receive a confirmation that a purchase was completed, which is stored locally on your device to disable ads.

3. Children's Privacy

Word of the Day is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

4. Your Choices

• You can disable ad personalization or reset your advertising identifier in your device's privacy settings at any time.
• You can purchase the one-time "Remove Ads" option in Settings to stop all ads within the App.
• You can uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data.

5. Data Security

Since gameplay data never leaves your device through any server we control, there is no server-side data of yours for us to secure. Data handled by Google AdMob and App Store / Google Play Billing is secured under their respective security practices.

6. International Users

Word of the Day is available worldwide. Third-party services used by the App (Google AdMob, Apple, Google) may process data in the United States or other countries where they operate, in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. The "Effective date" above will be updated whenever changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
